2026 Finest Series Launches Three Programs, Elly Collection & Postseason Diamonds

By DiamondOps · · 17 min read

On this page

Diamond Dynasty's biggest content drop of the season floods every game mode with Finest Series cards, capped by an Elly De La Cruz collection reward.

At the top of the reward tree sits a Finest Series Elly De La Cruz locked behind the Legends Flashbacks Collection, while Pete Crow-Armstrong, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Yordan Alvarez headline the capstone rewards for the three programs. Rounding out the update is a Postseason Roster Update focused on Attributes, which pushed over a hundred players' numbers and elevated several names to Diamond status.

Whether you prefer grinding Moments, conquering maps, playing event games, or completing collections, this drop has a lane for you. The question is where to spend your energy first — and how far you're willing to go across all three program tracks.

2026 Finest 1 Program

The middle of the ladder is stacked with outfield and pitching depth. Corbin Carroll brings elite speed and left-handed contact that makes him a plug-and-play corner option, while Ceddanne Rafaela adds plus speed alongside balanced contact numbers from both sides of the plate. On the mound, Dylan Cease pairs max velocity with elite break but trails slightly in control, making him a high-upside power arm. Raisel Iglesias as a closer is arguably the best pure-stuff reliever on the entire ladder, posting maxed velocity, control, and break — a rare trifecta for a bullpen arm.

The late rewards get serious. Junior Caminero at third base brings plus contact from both sides and maximum right-handed power. Cam Schlittler at the ninety-XP mark is a potential ace, posting perfect scores across all three pitching categories. And the capstone, Pete Crow-Armstrong, combines maximum speed with significant power and elite fielding, giving him a case as the most complete center fielder in the entire Finest Series drop. The Choice Pack unlocked at the ninety-five-XP mark is a bonus that sweetens an already rewarding grind. This is unambiguously worth the full push.

2026 Finest 2 Program

The early ladder leans on pitching variety. Shane Baz comes in first with max velocity and break but slightly lower control — a strikeout arm with some walk risk. Sean Burke follows a similar profile, and Adrian Morejon out of the bullpen echoes that pattern with strong velocity and break. For position players, Otto Lopez is a hidden gem: maxed contact from both sides of the plate at shortstop makes him one of the more underrated hitters in the entire Finest catalog. Jake McCarthy in left field pairs perfectly capped left-handed contact with elite speed, making him a leadoff-type threat.

The back end of this program is where the value spikes hard. Drake Baldwin catches with maxed right-handed contact and power plus solid left-handed numbers, making him an offensive force behind the plate. Rafael Devers at first base packs maximum right-handed contact and power alongside strong left-handed power, giving him a slugger's profile despite the positional move. And Yoshinobu Yamamoto as the capstone is as close to a perfect pitching card as the game can produce — all three major pitching attributes are maxed, his hits-allowed ratings are elite, and his stamina is remarkably strong. If you only push one of the three programs to completion, an argument can be made that Yamamoto makes this the one.

2026 Finest 3 Program

The early-to-mid ladder offers strong variety. Oneil Cruz at center field is one of the most physically imposing cards in the game, with maximum left-handed contact, elite power from the right side, and above-average speed. Max Muncy at third base posts maximum power from both sides and solid contact numbers — a classic slugger profile that fits perfectly in a lineup built around damage. Jesús Luzardo on the mound is a standout among the game's ace-tier starters, combining perfect velocity, control, and break in a card that belongs at the top of any rotation.

Shea Langeliers at catcher is an offensive revelation for his position — maximum left-handed power and strong all-around numbers make him one of the best hitting catchers in the Finest Series across all three programs. Jordan Walker in right field is a well-rounded threat combining solid contact from both sides, real power left-handed, and plus speed. Zack Wheeler arriving at the ninety-XP mark is a legitimately elite arm with near-maxed control to complement his velocity and break. Yordan Alvarez as the capstone is a pure masher: maximum contact and power from the right side, maxed left-handed power, elite discipline, and clutch ratings that rank among the highest on any position card in this drop. The speed is minimal, but the bat is the entire argument — and it's a compelling one.

Legends Flashbacks Collection

The Legends Flashbacks Collection is a card-gathering challenge that asks players to collect Series vouchers alongside specific Legends Flashbacks player cards to unlock a Finest Series Elly De La Cruz at shortstop for the Reds. At the top overall rating available in the game, this version of De La Cruz is clearly aimed at collectors who have been stockpiling Legends Flashbacks content and want a marquee payoff for their investment.

This is best suited for dedicated collection players who already have the required cards on hand or have the Stubs and market access to fill gaps efficiently. Casual players who haven't been collecting Legends Flashbacks content may find the entry cost steep, but for anyone who has been building toward this kind of reward all cycle, it's an extremely attractive destination.

Finest Mini Seasons Challenge

The Finest Mini Seasons Challenge drops players into CPU-controlled seasons with the option of playing shorter or longer individual game formats across either a compact or extended season window. The rewards include XP, Stubs, and a Finest Choice Pack from the first pool — which itself contains some of the most recognizable names in the game, including Fernando Tatis Jr. and Shohei Ohtani as a pitcher.

This mode is ideal for players who prefer offline, low-pressure content that doesn't require online competition. The shorter format options make it accessible even for players with limited session time, and the Choice Pack reward gives it real value beyond just XP accumulation.

Rewards: Earn XP, Stubs, and packs including a 2026 Finest Choice Pack "1"

2026 Finest Event Program

The Finest Event Program layers a missions-based overlay on top of competitive event play, asking players to build lineups from any current-year Series cards plus Live Series Bronze Commons before competing for wins. The grind nets XP and a Choice Pack from the second pool, which features names like Mason Miller, Max Fried, and Andy Pages among the selections.

This format tends to appeal to players who want competitive online content with an attached progression system. The roster restriction is worth noting — the reliance on current-year Series cards means this is not a bring-your-best-team format, so squads will feel fresher and more varied than standard events. If you've been building out your Finest Series roster, this is the perfect proving ground to put those new cards to work.

Finest Map

The Finest Map is a brand-new Conquest board that tasks players with capturing territories, stealing fans from CPU opponents, and completing map-specific goals. Clearing it rewards XP along with a Choice Pack from the third pool, which includes Josh Hader, Chris Sale, and Kyle Schwarber among its options.

Conquest maps consistently represent some of the best value-per-hour content in Diamond Dynasty for offline players, and a Choice Pack from a pool this stacked makes this particular map well worth prioritizing. Players who enjoy the strategic spread of Conquest will find this a satisfying addition, and even those who find the mode repetitive should consider at least clearing the main goals for the Choice Pack alone.

Pete Crow-Armstrong

Pete Crow-Armstrong

Pete Crow-Armstrong — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 114.2 · Hall of Fame 113.1 · Legend 111.3
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Fighter, Rally Monkey, Situational Hitter, Day Player

Pete Crow-Armstrong is the kind of complete center fielder that programs are built around. His speed is maxed out, his fielding is elite, his clutch rating is at the ceiling, and his power from the right side caps out as well. The contact numbers are strong from both sides without being quite maxed, but everything surrounding those numbers — discipline, clutch, fielding — elevates the profile significantly. His quirk sheet is extensive and tilted toward situational hitting and tough at-bat survival, with Day Player as an additional perk for daytime schedules.

What makes PCA truly special is how few tradeoffs he carries. Most elite center fielders in Diamond Dynasty sacrifice either power or defense; this version offers both in abundance. His OpScore ratings are highest at All-Star difficulty, where he grades out as one of the top overall cards in the game, and they remain strong into Hall of Fame. If you're a Cubs fan or simply want the best all-around outfielder from this drop, he's the target.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Yoshinobu Yamamoto

Yoshinobu Yamamoto — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 102.2 · Hall of Fame 105 · Legend 107.4
Quirks: Road Warrior, Pick Off Artist, Stopper, Day Player

Yoshinobu Yamamoto's Finest card is about as close to a perfect pitching build as the game currently allows. Velocity, control, and break are all at their absolute maximum, his hits-allowed ratings against both lefties and righties rank among the best in the game, and his stamina is exceptional for a starting pitcher — meaning you'll go deep into games without fatigue degrading his performance. His walk rate is well-managed, and while home run suppression is a touch below elite, everything else compensates.

His quirk set is small but meaningful: Road Warrior is a significant advantage for players who struggle away from their home stadium, and Stopper makes him a momentum killer after losses. OpScore tells an interesting story — his grades climb as difficulty increases, peaking at Legend, suggesting he genuinely rewards players who play at the highest levels. For anyone building a rotation anchored around a true ace, Yamamoto is the defining choice of this entire Finest Series launch.

Yordan Alvarez

Yordan Alvarez

Yordan Alvarez — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 102.2 · Hall of Fame 100.7 · Legend 99.3
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Unfazed, Rally Monkey, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Night Player, Table Setter

Yordan Alvarez is built to punish every pitcher regardless of handedness. Maximum right-handed contact and power, strong left-handed contact, maxed left-handed power, elite discipline, and a clutch rating at the ceiling make him one of the most dangerous pure hitters in the entire Finest Series. The vision rating is well above average, discipline is capped, and the quirk set includes Bad Ball Hitter, Breaking Ball Hitter, and multiple situational bonuses that collectively make him extremely difficult to game-plan against.

The obvious limitation is speed — he is one of the slowest cards in this drop. Fielding trails similarly. This is a designated hitter masquerading as a left fielder, and roster builders should plan accordingly. His OpScore grades are strongest at All-Star and taper slightly toward Legend, which suggests he's optimized for the competitive middle tier of play rather than the absolute top difficulty. Even so, the sheer offensive ceiling here is hard to match anywhere in this content drop.

Postseason Roster Update – Attributes

A sweeping Postseason Roster Update arrived alongside the Finest Series drop, touching over a hundred players with attribute adjustments. Four new Diamonds were created from the update — William Contreras, Trevor Megill, Bryan Baker, and Gavin Williams — alongside a large wave of players promoted to Gold, including recognizable names like Nico Hoerner, Kyle Tucker, Alec Bohm, Chase DeLauter, Tanner Scott, and Michael King among many others. The Gold additions alone represent a significant shift in what Live Series options are available for lineup construction.
