A stacked mid-week drop brings Double XP, three new programs, and a Cooperstown preview headlined by Andruw Jones.
This is one of the busier content drops of the Fifth Inning cycle. Diamond Dynasty players get another Double XP Weekend to accelerate progress on the XP Path, a second wave of July Spotlight program rewards, the full Hall of Fame program unlocking this weekend, and a celebratory Milestone program for Nolan Arenado. Whether you are grinding modes casually or hunting elite cards for competitive squads, there is a lane for you here.
The Hall of Fame angle is the headline story. SDS is teasing content tied to the real-life Cooperstown induction ceremony, giving the game a genuine connection to the live baseball calendar. Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltran are the focal points, and the cards SDS built around them reflect how dominant both players were at their peaks.
Meanwhile, Spotlight Drop Two continues the trend of translating hot real-world performances into playable cards quickly, rewarding players who follow the current MLB season. Stack all of this on top of a Double XP Weekend and you have a compelling reason to log in every day this week.
July Spotlight Drop 2
July Spotlight Drop Two is a tight, focused program that rewards efficient grinders. The task load is split across Moments, standard XP tasks, and a small set of collection tasks — a reasonable mix that keeps things from feeling repetitive. The total XP ceiling is modest, meaning you can clear this program in a session or two if you are comfortable with Moments.
The reward ladder gives you a pair of high-tier outfield cards before you ever reach the program cap. Luis Lara arrives early and brings speed and strong left-handed contact, making him a legitimate option at right field for squads that prioritize contact over raw power. Ian Seymour checks in as a starting pitcher with elite break ratings, which matters enormously in online modes where hitters are trained to time fastballs — a pitcher who lives in the breaking ball zone can be disruptive.
The program's headliner is Esmerlyn Valdez, unlocked at the top of the XP ladder. She is worth the grind on her own (more on her card below), and the midway pack reward gives you a shot at additional Spotlight and Topps Now content to supplement your roster. For a program this short, the value density is strong. Even players who only care about the Valdez card should find completing this entirely manageable.
| Program XP | Reward | Type |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | Ian Seymour (96 SP) | card |
| 20 | Luis Lara (96 RF) | card |
| 30 | 2,500 Reward XP | reward XP |

2026 Hall of Fame Program
The Hall of Fame Program is the flagship content drop of the week, and it is built differently than a standard program. It is deeper — roughly double the XP ceiling of the Spotlight program — and leans heavily on Moments, with a smaller side of XP tasks and no collection requirements. That structure means you will spend real time here, but SDS has spaced out the Ballin' is a Habit pack rewards throughout the ladder to keep the middle of the grind from feeling empty.
Crucially, this program delivers two cards, not one. Carlos Beltran arrives at the program's midpoint as a Finest Series right fielder, and Andruw Jones sits at the very top of the XP ladder as the Hall of Fame Series centerpiece. Earning both requires completing the full run of tasks — there is no shortcut to Jones without also earning Beltran along the way.
The program releases in conjunction with the actual Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which gives it a ceremonial weight that standard content drops lack. If you are the kind of player who appreciates thematic storytelling in Diamond Dynasty, this program delivers that in spades. From a pure gameplay value standpoint, Jones is elite enough to justify every moment of grind — see his card breakdown below. This is not a program to skip unless you are completely checked out of the game mode.

Nolan Arenado
The Nolan Arenado Milestone Program is the leanest of the three programs in this drop, but it asks for the most XP relative to its task count. You are working through a handful of Moments, XP tasks, and one collection task to climb the ladder — and the reward at the top is a ninety-nine overall Milestone Series Arenado, so the ask is proportionate to what you receive.
The program celebrates a genuine real-world milestone: Arenado reaching two thousand career hits while also holding at least three hundred fifty home runs and ten Gold Gloves. SDS is increasingly using these Milestone programs to honor in-season achievements, and this one feels well-earned given how rare that statistical combination is in baseball history.
For third base specifically, Arenado's card fills a role that is sometimes hard to find: a contact-first third baseman with elite fielding. His power numbers are present but more understated than pure sluggers at the position. Players who want a well-rounded, defensively elite hot corner option will find this program very much worth the time. Casual players who already have a locked-in third base option may weigh whether the grind aligns with their playtime this week, but the additional reward XP payout at the top of the ladder at least softens the decision.
| Program XP | Reward | Type |

Double XP Weekend
Double XP Weekend returns, stacking bonus experience on top of anything you earn while playing Diamond Dynasty in any mode. This is especially valuable for players who still have rewards to unlock in the Fifth Inning XP Path or who are working through multiple programs simultaneously — every game you play this weekend counts for more than it normally would.
The event suits every type of player regardless of skill level or preferred mode. Casual players grinding Moments, competitive players running Ranked or Events, and collectors completing showdowns all benefit equally. If you have been pacing yourself through the XP Path, this weekend is the time to accelerate.
Dates: Starts today

Hall of Fame Event Program
The Hall of Fame Event Program is a separate competitive event running alongside the standard Hall of Fame Program. To participate you need to build a squad using Legends and Flashbacks players alongside Bronze Common Live Series players — a creative team-building restriction that forces you to mix eras and find value in players you might not normally roster.
Win games in the event and complete the associated Missions to climb the reward ladder, which pays out XP, packs along the way, and the exclusive Hall of Fame Series Trevor Hoffman as the top reward. Hoffman as a closer in San Diego is a thematic fit, and a ninety-nine overall closer earned through event play is a strong incentive for competitive players who enjoy the event format.

Chase Pack 19
Chase Pack Nineteen features Awards Series Willie McGee, a four-time All-Star and National League MVP from the mid-eighties. The pack guarantees at least one Diamond player card, with a chance — not a guarantee — at McGee himself. You can find Chase Pack Nineteen through the Fifth Inning XP Reward Path Wheel spin, by purchasing the Show Fifty-Pack Bundle, or as a random drop inside individual The Show Packs.
For collectors chasing theme teams or era-specific rosters, McGee in Cardinals red is an appealing target. The wheel and pack-drop acquisition paths mean you may land this without specifically targeting it.

Esmerlyn Valdez

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 99.5 · Hall of Fame 97 · Legend 93.2
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Fighter, Rally Monkey, Situational Hitter, Day Player
Esmerlyn Valdez is built to punish pitchers who try to sneak anything over the inner half of the plate. Her left-handed contact is the standout tool, sitting well above most cards at her overall tier, and her left-handed power is even more impressive — big-time pull-side pop that will find gaps and walls in any stadium. The right-handed contact is noticeably softer, which means pitchers with a plan can attack her from the right side, but the quirk list tells you she is prepared for those situations: Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Fighter, and Situational Hitter give her multiple ways to stay dangerous in two-strike counts and against varied pitch mixes.
The Clutch rating on this card is exceptional — among the highest you will find on any outfielder this cycle — which is why SDS baked in Situational Hitter and Rally Monkey as bonus quirks. Valdez is designed to be an impact bat in the moments that decide games. Her fielding and speed are functional without being special, so she works best in a lineup built around her bat rather than one asking her to cover ground in center. As a program-earned card with OpScores that rate elite at the All-Star difficulty and very strong at Hall of Fame, she is one of the more compelling free rewards of the Spotlight era.
Andruw Jones

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 108.7 · Hall of Fame 106.1 · Legend 104.4
Quirks: Road Warrior, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Fighter, Rally Monkey, Day Player
Andruw Jones may be the most complete outfield card released this cycle. Every category on his attribute sheet reads like a franchise cornerstone: contact from both sides that sits at or above triple digits, power from both sides that would anchor any lineup, vision that far exceeds what most center fielders offer, discipline that approaches elite walk-drawing territory, clutch at exactly one hundred, and fielding that touches the absolute ceiling. The speed is legitimately fast for a player with his power profile, making him a threat on the basepaths and a center fielder who can actually cover the position.
His OpScores back up what the individual attributes suggest — Jones grades out above average even at the Legend difficulty tier, which is the hardest context in the game. The quirk set is well-rounded: Road Warrior is particularly valuable in online play where you are always the away team half the time, and First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, and Breaking Ball Hitter give him coverage across every pitch type. If you complete the Hall of Fame Program, Jones should go straight into your lineup — he is that category of card.
Nolan Arenado

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 94.6 · Hall of Fame 98.3 · Legend 98.6
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Night Player
Nolan Arenado's Milestone card leans into what made him a perennial Gold Glove winner and run-producer rather than a pure home-run hitter. The contact profile is excellent from both sides, and his vision sits in a range that makes him a tough plate appearance for any pitcher. The power numbers are present and meaningful, especially from the left side, but this card is not built to be a fly-ball slugger — it is built to be a high-average, high-contact third baseman who also defends at the absolute peak of the position, as that perfect fielding rating reflects.
The OpScores paint an interesting picture: Arenado actually grades higher at the Legend and Hall of Fame difficulty settings than at All-Star, which is somewhat unusual and suggests his attribute balance makes him more effective against elite pitching than against middling stuff. Night Player and Homebody are situational quirks worth noting for lineup construction, and Bad Ball Hitter paired with First-Pitch Hitter gives him a broader zone-coverage profile than his discipline rating might suggest at first glance. For players who prioritize defensive identity at third base without giving up offensive production, this card delivers.
