Postseason Flood: Event Program, Diamond Quest, Mini Seasons & Four Division Series Programs Drop

By DiamondOps · · 17 min read

On this page

The Postseason content machine is running at full throttle this weekend, delivering five programs, a Diamond Quest, a Mini Seasons Challenge, and more than a dozen new diamond cards in a single update. Whether you prefer grinding structured event missions, working through a choose-your-own-adventure quest format, or knocking out short CPU seasons, there is a lane for every playstyle — and the reward pools are genuinely stacked.

The four Division Series Programs capturing completed ALDS and NLDS matchups are the real volume story here, collectively dropping twelve Postseason Series cards tied directly to the real-world bracket. These are low-total-XP programs with compact task lists, making them some of the fastest free card grabs the game has offered in recent memory.

Layered on top of all that are two Awards Series legends and a Show Classics centerfielder accessible through the Event Program and Diamond Quest respectively, giving longtime Diamond Dynasty veterans some iconic names to chase alongside the current-day Postseason stars.

2026 Postseason Event Program

The reward ceiling is excellent for the investment. Andy Pettitte arrives at the midpoint milestone and Ivan Rodriguez closes things out at the top, and both are available simply by finishing the XP task set. A Premier Choice Pack lands at the very end as a cherry on top for players who clear all eight tasks, offering a high-rarity selection on top of the two featured cards. Given the compact task count and the quality of the dual-legend headliners, this is one of the stronger Event Program value propositions of the cycle.

The early packs sprinkled through the lower thresholds give the grind a nice cadence — you are never going too long without some kind of reward drop. Anyone who planned to play Event mode this weekend anyway should treat the program completion as essentially free, making both legends low-friction additions to the collection.

Padres vs. Brewers Program

The Padres vs. Brewers Program commemorates the NLDS showdown between San Diego and Milwaukee, and it is the definition of an efficient program. The XP ceiling is low, the task count is modest with a mix of moments, standard XP tasks, and a single collection task, and three full diamond cards sit at the reward milestones across a tight progression path.

Manny Machado drops almost immediately, making him the fastest free ninety-nine overall in this entire update. Michael King follows in the middle, giving pitching-focused players a high-break starter to slot into their rotation. Garrett Mitchell closes things out as the top prize, and with elite speed alongside strong contact from both sides, he is arguably the most exciting of the three. Bonus XP rewards are tucked throughout, feeding into other programs. Every player should knock this one out — it costs almost nothing in time relative to what it returns.

Yankees vs. Rays Program

Mirroring the Padres vs. Brewers structure almost exactly, the Yankees vs. Rays Program runs the same tight format — moments, XP tasks, one collection task — making it equally quick to complete. Bryan Baker kicks things off as an immediately accessible closer reward, a pleasant surprise for bullpen builders who rarely see high-tier closers handed out this early in a program's reward table.

Gerrit Cole at the midpoint is the unquestionable centerpiece of this entire program and arguably one of the most dominant starting pitching cards in the update. His across-the-board pitching attributes hit elite marks in every category, making him the kind of plug-and-play ace that slots straight into any rotation. Ryan Vilade rounds out the program and brings a useful left-handed bat with solid foot speed and good power to right field. The combination of Baker, Cole, and Vilade gives pitching-heavy rosters a meaningful upgrade at multiple positions in a single efficient run.

Braves vs. Dodgers Program

The Braves vs. Dodgers Program is the deepest of the four Division Series programs in terms of card volume, packing four player rewards into its reward table — two of which come in the opening stretch. Ray Kerr and Didier Fuentes both arrive early, giving bullpen-focused players an almost immediate dual-reliever haul. Having two high-velocity, elite-break relievers unlocked back to back with minimal effort makes this program uniquely appealing for anyone trying to build a shutdown late-game staff.

Michael Harris II arrives at the midpoint as a well-rounded center fielder with strong right-handed contact and legitimate speed. Enrique Hernández closes things out as the highest-ceiling hitter of the four, bringing elite left-handed contact, solid power from both sides, and an impressive quirk stack that includes both Breaking Ball Hitter and Fighter — traits that hold up well in high-pressure online environments. A Deluxe Choice Pack sits just before the final card reward, making the back half of this program feel particularly generous. Complete all four Division Series Programs and you walk away with a dozen free ninety-nine overall diamonds.

Postseason Diamond Quest

The Postseason Diamond Quest is a multi-mode single-player experience that blends Moments, Showdowns, Stadium Challenges, and a Zone Sweeper encounter into one interconnected adventure. Each node type tests a different skill set — Moments reward historical baseball knowledge and situational hitting, Showdowns put your pitching decision-making under pressure, and the Zone Sweeper demands disciplined contact at the plate. The variety keeps the format from becoming repetitive, which is one of Diamond Quest's biggest strengths as a game mode.

The reward ceiling here is legitimately excellent, with Dennis Eckersley and George Springer both available as earned prizes. For solo grinders who prefer PvE content and dislike the pressure of online events, this is the most appealing offering in the entire weekend drop. Players who enjoy lore-rich single-player content and want two high-quality free cards without touching head-to-head should prioritize the Diamond Quest above all else this weekend.

Where to find it: Play Moments against Postseason pros, complete Showdowns against Postseason pitchers, take on Stadium Challenges, and compete against the Zone Sweeper
Rewards: Earn packs and exclusive player rewards
Featured player: Awards Series Dennis Eckersley, CP, ATH at 99 OVR and The Show Classics Series George Springer, CF, HOU at 99 OVR

Postseason Mini Seasons Challenge

The Postseason Mini Seasons Challenge is a CPU-focused competition mode that lets players choose their preferred pace — a shorter seven-game season or a more marathon twenty-eight-game run, in either three-inning or nine-inning game formats. The flexibility in session length makes it accessible for players with limited time as well as those who want a deeper, more immersive season simulation experience.

The reward pool leans toward high-quality pack currency rather than specific player cards, with an Ultra Choice Pack, a Chase Pack, and multiple Vault Choice Packs on the table. This is an ideal activity for roster-builders who want to chase specific cards through pack pulls or supplement their collection without additional Stub spending. It also serves as a low-stakes way to experiment with Postseason Series lineups before taking them into competitive modes.

Where to find it: Compete in three- or nine-inning games within seven- or 28-game seasons against CPU-controlled teams
Rewards: Earn XP, Stubs, and packs including an Ultra Choice Pack, a Chase Pack 28, and three Vault Choice Packs

Ivan Rodriguez

Ivan Rodriguez

Ivan Rodriguez — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 107 · Hall of Fame 114.6 · Legend 116.6
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Situational Hitter, Day Player, Table Setter
Market: buy now 15,000 stubs · sell now 10,000 stubs

Ivan Rodriguez as an Awards Series catcher is a long-overdue addition to Diamond Dynasty, and the attributes make a strong case for him being among the better backstops in the game. His left-handed contact rating in particular is exceptional, and his clutch rating is elite — a combination that makes him especially dangerous in late-game situations. Vision is also strong, giving him the plate discipline needed to work counts rather than chase.

On defense, he grades out as a ninety-nine overall at the position, which is simply what you would expect from one of the greatest defensive catchers in baseball history. The quirk set — including Situational Hitter, Dead Red, and First-Pitch Hitter — skews toward aggressive approaches, which pairs well with his right-handed swing being his secondary bat. His price on the market is very approachable for a card of this caliber, and since he is earnable for free through the Event Program, most players should not need to spend at all. Pudge earns a roster spot on merit.

Garrett Mitchell

Garrett Mitchell

Garrett Mitchell — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 103.7 · Hall of Fame 109.8 · Legend 109.6
Quirks: Road Warrior, Fighter, Situational Hitter, Night Player, Table Setter

Garrett Mitchell is the speed-and-contact center fielder that outfield-by-committee rosters have been waiting for. His sprint speed sits at the absolute ceiling of what the game offers, and he pairs that with above-average contact from both sides of the plate and elite clutch. Fielding is a perfect ninety-nine, so he anchors center defensively while also being a genuine offensive threat.

The quirk set leans into his identity as a table-setter and high-pressure performer — Road Warrior and Fighter are particularly valuable in online play where home crowds often swing momentum. His lower vision and discipline numbers are the one area of concern, suggesting he may struggle slightly against elite breaking ball pitchers who can put him in bad counts. Still, for a free card from a compact program, Mitchell is exceptional value and a legitimate starter on competitive rosters.

Ryan Vilade

Ryan Vilade

Ryan Vilade — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 106.9 · Hall of Fame 106.5 · Legend 105.3
Quirks: Road Warrior, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Night Player

Ryan Vilade is a fairly niche card in the best possible sense — he is a left-handed-leaning bat with very good plate discipline, solid power from both sides, and enough foot speed to be a credible baserunning threat in right field. His Discipline rating is a standout attribute that sets him apart from most power-corner outfielders who tend to chase.

The quirk combination of Dead Red and Breaking Ball Hitter is a rare pairing, essentially giving the player flexibility in how they attack pitching depending on the opponent's arsenal. Night Player is a nice situational bonus for evening event sessions. His fielding is not a strength, so he is best used as a lineup bat rather than a defensive anchor, but as a program reward that costs nothing beyond a short task list, his offensive upside is well worth the time investment.

Enrique Hernández

Enrique Hernández

Enrique Hernández — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 104 · Hall of Fame 105.2 · Legend 103.4
Quirks: Road Warrior, First-Pitch Hitter, Breaking Ball Hitter, Fighter, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Night Player

Enrique Hernández reprented as a Dodgers Postseason Series card slots into third base and brings one of the most layered quirk sets in this entire update. Six quirks — including Bad Ball Hitter, Fighter, Breaking Ball Hitter, and Situational Hitter — make him an unusually adaptable hitter who can answer multiple opponent strategies without needing a quirk-specific setup.

His contact ratings are excellent from both sides, and his left-handed power is particularly notable. Speed is his clear weakness, making him a station-to-station baserunner who will not create value on the bases. But in a lineup slot where you need a reliable, clutch-heavy contact bat who can handle advanced pitching, Kiké delivers. He is one of the better free cards available this weekend for players who prioritize hitting versatility.

Andy Pettitte

Andy Pettitte

Andy Pettitte — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 86.6 · Hall of Fame 87.1 · Legend 87.6
Quirks: Homebody, Pick Off Artist, Day Player
Market: buy now 15,000 stubs · sell now 10,000 stubs

Andy Pettitte is one of the most decorated postseason starters in baseball history, and his Awards Series card leans into the command-and-deception profile that defined his career rather than pure velocity. His walk rate attribute — represented here by his elite BB/nine — is among the very best in the game, and he pairs that with exceptional hit-suppression marks against left-handed batters in particular. Control and Break are both maxed out, giving his repertoire the late movement that made real-life hitters uncomfortable.

His OpScore sits in a moderate range relative to other top-tier starters, which is a honest reflection of his below-average velocity. Pettitte will not overpower anyone, but he will not beat himself either — the Pick Off Artist quirk and Homebody bonus add layers of situational value, particularly in home-stadium event formats. He is a rewarding option for players who prefer controlling the strike zone over relying on raw heat, and as a free program reward, he is absolutely worth pursuing.

Dennis Eckersley

Dennis Eckersley

Dennis Eckersley — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 89.3 · Hall of Fame 90.7 · Legend 91.1
Quirks: Road Warrior, Pick Off Artist, Night Player
Market: buy now 35,000 stubs · sell now 32,000 stubs

Dennis Eckersley as an Awards Series closer is a high-value Diamond Quest target and one of the better late-inning options available right now. His OpScore at the Legend difficulty tier is the highest of any pitcher in this update's batch, and his attribute spread explains why — elite hit suppression against both lefties and righties, tremendous strikeout rates, a phenomenal walk rate, and maxed-out Control and Break. The velocity is in a strong range for a closer, not overpowering but well above average.

His market price reflects his quality — he is trading meaningfully higher than the other pitching headliners in this drop, validating his standing as a premium card even in a crowded pitching update. Night Player and Road Warrior are both useful quirks for online play, and Pick Off Artist adds a defensive dimension that can swing close games. If you have the time to work through the Postseason Diamond Quest, Eckersley is absolutely the most compelling reason to do so.

George Springer

George Springer

George Springer — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 103.7 · Hall of Fame 100.6 · Legend 98.1
Quirks: Road Warrior, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Unfazed, Day Player, Table Setter
Market: buy now 23,999 stubs · sell now 16,080 stubs

George Springer in The Show Classics Series joins the Diamond Quest reward pool as a Houston Astros center fielder, and his power metrics are what immediately jump out. His left-handed power in particular reaches a very high threshold, giving him legitimate home-run upside from both sides of the plate — rare for a center fielder card at this tier.

His quirk set is stacked with situational bonuses: Dead Red, First-Pitch Hitter, Unfazed, and Table Setter all contribute in different ways depending on matchup and game state. His market price sits in a mid-range sweet spot that makes him accessible for players who do not finish the Diamond Quest but still want the card. For those who do complete the quest, this is a free power-bat center fielder who will hold up in competitive lineups — a strong secondary prize behind Eckersley.

Manny Machado

Manny Machado

Manny Machado — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 100.3 · Hall of Fame 98.8 · Legend 97.1
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Rally Monkey, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Night Player

Manny Machado's Postseason Series card is an interesting one — his power from the left side is his standout offensive attribute, and his elite fielding makes him a defensive anchor at third base. The contact numbers are solid rather than spectacular, but several of his quirks compensate by boosting performance in specific high-leverage situations: Rally Monkey, Situational Hitter, and Bad Ball Hitter all add value when games get close.

The significant caveat is his speed, which is among the lowest of any position player in this entire update. Machado is a pure station-to-station player on the basepaths, so lineups that need base-stealing or aggressive running threats will need to look elsewhere. As the first reward in the Padres vs. Brewers Program — unlocked almost immediately — he is a free starting third baseman for players who have not yet found a strong option at the hot corner, making the acquisition cost essentially zero.
