Free Thank You Pack Lets You Grab a Chase Boss Legend for Nothing

SDS rewards good sportsmanship with a free choice from over twenty former Chase Boss players — no grind, no cost, just pick your favorite.

SDS is tipping its cap to the players who keep Diamond Dynasty worth showing up for. In a straightforward act of goodwill, the studio is handing out a free Thank You Pack redeemable in the Show Shop through the end of August. Inside is a single pick from a deep roster of former Chase Boss reward cards spanning all twenty-two packs of the season — high-end legends, fan favorites, and everything in between.

The catch, if you can call it that, is simple: whatever you choose is yours to use but not to sell. These cards are locked to your collection, so this is purely a quality-of-life decision for your Diamond Dynasty squad rather than a market opportunity. That framing actually makes the choice more interesting — it forces you to think about what your lineup genuinely needs rather than chasing the highest sticker price.

With no program to grind and no currency to spend, this drop is about as low-friction as it gets. The only question is which card fills the biggest hole in your roster, and with names ranging from maxed-out contact machines to elite closers and power bats, there is something here for almost every lineup construction.

Stan Musial

Stan Musial

Stan Musial — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 98.6 · Hall of Fame 104.4 · Legend 106.8
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Unfazed, Fighter, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Pinch Hitter, Day Player
Market: buy now 72,999 stubs · sell now 60,251 stubs

Stan Musial's Milestone card is one of the most well-rounded hitters in the pool and probably the first name contact-first players should consider. His right-handed contact sits at the absolute ceiling of the attribute scale, and even left-handed he is no slouch. Vision and Discipline ratings push into elite territory, making him genuinely difficult to put away in long at-bats. Clutch is exceptional, and the quirk list is loaded with hitting perks — Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Bad Ball Hitter, and Fighter among them — meaning he adapts to whatever the pitcher throws.

On the other side of the ledger, Musial is not a speed threat and his left-handed power is only modest. His fielding is usable but not a selling point. The OpScore numbers show him performing best at the Legend difficulty, which is where the extra contact and discipline really separate him from the field. If your lineup craves a table-setting left fielder who punishes mistakes on both sides of the plate, Musial is a clear top-three choice in this pack.

Adrian Beltre

Adrian Beltre

Adrian Beltre — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 98.2 · Hall of Fame 105.1 · Legend 106.3
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Night Player, Table Setter
Market: buy now 61,925 stubs · sell now 50,222 stubs

Adrian Beltre's Awards card stands out for a reason almost no other card in this pool can match: his fielding at third base is at the very top of the scale. That alone makes him worth serious consideration for anyone running a defense-oriented squad. His contact numbers are excellent from both sides, and his Clutch attribute is sky-high — Beltre was famously a big-game performer in real life, and the card reflects that.

The tradeoff is that his Discipline rating is the lowest among the premier options here, meaning patient pitchers can work around him. He is not a power bat in the traditional sense either, though his contact grades are strong enough that he generates plenty of production another way. The quirk set includes First-Pitch Hitter and Bad Ball Hitter, which fit his historical profile perfectly. For players who feel the hot corner is a defensive liability, Beltre is the answer.

Billy Wagner

Billy Wagner

Billy Wagner — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 107 · Hall of Fame 108.4 · Legend 109.2
Quirks: Road Warrior, Stopper, Night Player, Outlier I
Market: buy now 153,670 stubs · sell now 117,615 stubs

The only meaningful limitation is stamina, which comes with the closer territory. You are getting one inning of elite pitching per game, not a workhorse. But if your bullpen has been a weak link and you want to lock down the ninth with the best available arm in this pool, Wagner is the pick. His market price reflects that dominance — he commands a significant premium compared to most others in this selection, which tells you what the community thinks of him too.

Willie McGee

Willie McGee

Willie McGee — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 99.5 · Hall of Fame 109.5 · Legend 111.8
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Day Player
Market: buy now 111,980 stubs · sell now 89,000 stubs

Willie McGee's Awards card is built around a profile that is genuinely unique in this pool: maxed contact from both sides of the plate combined with maxed speed. That combination makes him arguably the best table-setter available, and his Clutch rating at the absolute ceiling adds a clutch dimension that most leadoff-type profiles lack. His Vision is strong enough to get on base consistently, and the Day Player quirk pairs with his contact skills to make him a nightmare in certain matchup conditions.

The obvious limitation is power — McGee is not a home run threat, and his power ratings reflect a slap-and-run archetype. Bad Ball Hitter and Dead Red round out a quirk set that rewards aggressive, contact-first approaches. His OpScore actually peaks highest at the Legend difficulty level compared to his peers in this group, suggesting his skill set scales exceptionally well against elite pitching. For speed-and-contact lineups, McGee is the most impactful free choice available.

Geraldo Perdomo

Geraldo Perdomo

Geraldo Perdomo — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 92.8 · Hall of Fame 99 · Legend 100.7
Quirks: Homebody, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Unfazed, Rally Monkey, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Night Player, Table Setter
Market: buy now 103,989 stubs · sell now 80,001 stubs

Geraldo Perdomo's Awards card is a somewhat surprising inclusion at the ninety-nine overall tier, and his OpScore reflects that he rates a step below the headline names in the pool. That said, his left-handed contact is maxed, and his Discipline rating is among the best in the bunch — he will work counts and reach base. The quirk set includes Rally Monkey, Unfazed, and Breaking Ball Hitter, making him a solid situational piece.

Where he falls short is that his right-handed contact is only average by high-diamond standards, and his fielding at shortstop, while serviceable, is not elite. Players who already have a strong shortstop or who are simply chasing the best possible card for their stubs should probably look elsewhere. But if your lineup lacks a patient left-handed bat at shortstop and you need something for free right now, Perdomo fills a gap.

Bryce Harper

Bryce Harper

Bryce Harper — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 102.3 · Hall of Fame 101.8 · Legend 99.2
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Night Player, Table Setter
Market: buy now 40,499 stubs · sell now 31,000 stubs

Bryce Harper's Milestone card at first base leads with power — his right-handed power rating is among the highest for any hitter in this pool, and his Discipline ensures he sees pitches worth driving. Clutch is excellent, and the quirk loadout stacks multiple hitting perks that reward aggressive, power-first approaches. His OpScore actually peaks at the All-Star difficulty rather than Legend, meaning he is a dominant force at mid-tier play before other stats start to normalize.

First base defense is not a strength here; his fielding is the lowest among the featured hitters. That matters less at the position but is worth noting. Harper's market value is considerably lower than some of the other ninety-eight and ninety-nine overall options in the pack, which is an interesting signal — though since these cards are untradeable anyway, you should focus on fit rather than floor value. For power-hungry lineups that need a first baseman who can carry an inning, Harper delivers.

Cal Raleigh

Cal Raleigh

Cal Raleigh — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 105.1 · Hall of Fame 96.5 · Legend 90.6
Quirks: Road Warrior, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Fighter, Bad Ball Hitter, Situational Hitter, Day Player, Table Setter
Market: buy now 20,900 stubs · sell now 12,008 stubs

Cal Raleigh's Summer card is the most accessible-feeling pick in the pool from a market-value standpoint, and his power numbers explain exactly why he earns a roster spot regardless. Left-handed power is elite, right-handed power is nearly as good, and the catching position means you are filling one of the hardest spots to upgrade in Diamond Dynasty. His OpScore at All-Star difficulty is genuinely impressive and rates among the highest of any hitter in this pool at that tier.

The drop-offs are vision and speed — Raleigh is not getting on base by accident or beating out grounders. He profiles as a true cleanup hitter behind the dish who lives and dies by contact quality rather than plate discipline. Road Warrior and Day Player quirks offer situational upside. If your catching situation is a liability and you want a powerful left-handed bat back there, Raleigh is arguably the best free upgrade available in the pool for that specific need.

Lance Berkman

Lance Berkman

Lance Berkman — DiamondOps attribute card

DiamondOps rating (OpScore): All-Star 91.8 · Hall of Fame 94.8 · Legend 94.1
Quirks: Homebody, First-Pitch Hitter, Dead Red, Breaking Ball Hitter, Fighter, Rally Monkey, Night Player, Table Setter
Market: buy now 108,999 stubs · sell now 90,400 stubs

Lance Berkman's Postseason card is a well-built switch-hitting corner outfielder whose Clutch and Discipline ratings push him into premium territory for lineup depth. His right-handed contact and power are both strong, and Discipline that approaches the high tier means he will not chase. Rally Monkey and Fighter quirks add late-game functionality that suits a middle-of-the-order role.

His fielding and speed are both limited, so he slots cleanly as a designated-hitter-adjacent piece or a corner bat where range is forgivable. His OpScore plateaus in the Hall of Fame range and ticks back slightly at Legend, suggesting he is a very strong mid-difficulty option rather than a top-end Legend-tier card. The price premium the market placed on him before the untradeable caveat signals strong community interest — he is a genuinely useful card, just not the ceiling of what this pack offers.
