Hank Thompson is a Red Diamond 99 OVR Third Baseman card for the Giants, part of the Finest set in MLB The Show's Diamond Dynasty. He bats left-handed. He is also eligible at Second Baseman, Left Fielder, and Right Fielder. The card was added to Diamond Dynasty in October 2026.

At the plate, Hank Thompson's standout tools are 120 Power, 120 Contact, and 116 Vision. His profile leans toward power at the plate. Notable quirks include Dead Red and Situational Hitter from a total of 4 quirks.

Hank Thompson is eligible at 5 positions, and DiamondOps scores each one separately: Designated Hitter (115.1), Third Baseman (111.2), Right Fielder (109.3), Left Fielder (109.1), and Second Baseman (108.8) on All-Star. The best fit is Designated Hitter rather than the listed Third Baseman, and that holds at every difficulty. At Designated Hitter the card scores 115.1 on All-Star, 117.4 on Hall of Fame, and 118.5 on Legend — it keeps 103% of its All-Star value at the top difficulty, which is unusually durable.

On the Diamond Dynasty market, Hank Thompson currently buys for about 79,250 stubs, with sell orders near 69,300 stubs. Flipping at current buy and sell prices nets roughly 2,023 stubs, about a 3% return. DiamondOps suggests waiting for a better entry point.

OpScore is DiamondOps' composite rating of a card's in-game performance value. Hank Thompson earns an OpScore of 113.1 on Legend difficulty, ranking #26 among all cards and #3 among Third Basemans.
